Hi friends and family! Thanks for tuning in for our adoption/family updates! I’m going to try to give a general overview of what we’ve been up to so far, and maybe cast some vision for the future, so here we go (I’m not going to end this one with an exclamation mark).
So far, we’ve been working with Bethany Christian Services for about 2 years now. That’s not a “normal” time, but COVID and some other life things delayed a lot of stuff for us as a family. We’ve taken a couple of classes, read some training books (and I at least have a few more to go, I’m sure Lauren’s responsible and read everything already), and filled out a ton of paperwork, but at least we’re finally in the homestretch. Our home study is done, so once we pay for the next phase (only $11,500) we’ll have our book shown to birth moms and really be in the process.
We’re working on securing adoption grants currently, and the main one we’re looking at now is a matching grant from Lifesong. Once we get that all setup, that information will be here on the site.
